You're right, we don't have a way to do that via the API today, but I can see how it could be valuable.

The most straightforward way of doing this is just to do it via the Admin Console. Are your IPs changing often enough to need to do this programmatically?

You could also request a VISTA rule to accomplish this as well, but is a bit more roundabout than what may make sense based on what you're trying to do....

Has there been any indication that Omniture will expand the API to include IP exclusion? It seems like a valuable feature since the task of excluding IPs particularly lends itself to automation.

I am having the same problem that Eskil has encountered. We are changing our IP and I will need to reset the Excluded IPs for almost 600 accounts, which is a bit too many to do effectively by hand. It would be nice to find a way to automate this task so I don't have to go through each admin console one at a time.

Good news! This feature has been added to the development roadmap and will be available shortly. There will be 3 new methods exposed in the API:

ReportSuite.GetIPAddressExclusions
ReportSuite.DeleteIPAddressExclusions
ReportSuite.SaveIPAddressExclusions

This should make it easy to manage multiple IP exclusions across several report suites.

I just downloaded the latest WSDL and it still doesn't appear to support these three methods. Have they been added or not?

I just checked and I see these methods are in the WSDL. Not sure on when they were added but they're there now so give it another try.
